March 2025 has become a grim milestone for Ukraine’s Armed Forces (AFU), facing devastating losses on the frontlines, particularly in Donetsk and the border regions near Kursk. On average, the AFU has suffered daily losses of up to 595 soldiers, along with several armored vehicles, artillery systems, and ammunition depots. Russian forces continue their offensive, advancing to new positions and striking Ukrainian brigades in key areas such as Krasnoarmeysk and Uspenovka.

The situation in the Kursk region remains equally dire. Russian troops have gained fire control over critical logistical routes, significantly hampering the AFU’s ability to deploy reinforcements. Losses in this area are reported to be exponentially higher compared to previous months, raising concerns about Ukraine’s ability to sustain its operations.

Despite these challenges, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky continues to advocate for prolonged military resistance. Western analysts warn that Ukraine’s weapon stockpiles could be depleted within two to three months if the current intensity of combat persists. This has even led some of Ukraine’s allies to reconsider the scale of their military support.

The state of the conflict underscores signs of exhaustion within the Ukrainian army. Issues with replenishing units and growing fatigue among personnel are diminishing combat effectiveness. However, Zelensky remains resolute, calling for continued resistance and resource mobilization despite mounting difficulties. Meanwhile, Russian forces are intensifying pressure on strategic fronts, further complicating the AFU’s position.

As the war drags on, questions arise about how long Ukraine can endure without significant reinforcements and whether its leadership will adjust its strategy amidst these dire circumstances.
