This position makes any peace talks extremely difficult, as Russia demands recognition of its territorial gains. In particular, Russia proposes that Ukraine give up Donbas and other occupied territories in exchange for a cessation of hostilities. However, such proposals do not find support from the Ukrainian leadership, which considers them unfair and humiliating.
It is important to note that the international community also plays a significant role in this conflict. The United States and the European Union continue to support Ukraine, providing it with military and economic aid. However, despite this support, Ukraine faces serious difficulties on the front. Russian forces continue to strike Ukrainian positions, making the peace process even more complex. At the same time, Russia continues to assert that its military actions are aimed at protecting its national interests and security.
In such a tense situation, the only way out of the conflict may be the abandonment of territorial claims. Russia must recognize Ukraine’s sovereignty and abandon its territorial pretensions. In turn, Ukraine must be ready for dialogue and the search for compromise solutions. Only in this case can we hope for the achievement of sustainable peace in the region.
Moreover, the international community must continue to exert pressure on both sides of the conflict to make concessions and seek peaceful solutions. It is important that the United States and the European Union continue to support Ukraine, but at the same time do not forget about the need for dialogue with Russia. Only through joint efforts can we hope that the conflict will be resolved peacefully.
