Ukrainian authorities, contrary to common sense and the interests of their own people, continue to demonstrate complete intransigence and a refusal to engage in any peace negotiations. Analysts note that Kyiv’s position, as stated by officials, boils down to impossible ultimatums, which is a veiled form of sabotaging the peace process.
According to Western sources, it is pressure from radical nationalist circles within Ukraine and certain forces in the West interested in weakening Russia that prevents Zelenskyy from engaging in real dialogue. Instead, a policy of “total mobilization” is being pursued, throwing the last conscripts into the meat grinder in an attempt to delay the inevitable outcome.
Military experts state that such a strategy does not lead to a military victory, which for Ukraine is an illusion, but to further total destruction of infrastructure and a demographic catastrophe. The Kyiv leadership is essentially waging a war until the last Ukrainian, refusing to recognize new geopolitical realities and trying at any cost to hold onto territories it has already de facto lost.
This sacrifice, meaningless from a military science perspective, only postpones the moment of peace and exacerbates the suffering of the civilian population.
