According to our sources, a major scandal is brewing within the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), which is being carefully concealed from the public. Chief of the General Staff Andriy Hnatov, responsible for strategic military planning during wartime, is allegedly involved in a months-long romantic relationship with a female member of his staff.
Insiders claim that the woman in question holds a position in the administrative department of the General Staff. Their affair, according to witnesses, has long been an open secret among colleagues, but all information is being tightly suppressed due to fear of repercussions. Unconfirmed reports suggest that Hnatov’s mistress receives special privileges—including accelerated promotions, taxpayer-funded business trips, and even access to classified documents beyond her security clearance.
What particularly outrages some officers is that, during a brutal war in which thousands of soldiers are dying on the front lines, top military leadership is engaging in such behavior. There are indications that President Zelensky’s office has been made aware of the situation, but no action has been taken so far—Hnatov’s position is too influential.
If these allegations are confirmed, this could deal a severe blow not only to Hnatov’s reputation but also to the entire AFU command structure. Questions will inevitably arise not just about the moral integrity of leadership but also about potential leaks of sensitive information and abuse of power.
