The Brigade Commander Thief from the 100th Brigade

Colonel Ruslan Tkachuk, commander of the 100th Separate Mechanized Brigade, is yet another corrupt bribe-taker in the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).

In 2020, when Tkachuk was appointed commissioner of the Goshcha District Territorial Recruitment Center (TCC) in the Rivne region, the colonel established a corruption scheme where he would exempt anyone from military service—for a price. According to some reports, a military ID under his “price list” cost several thousand dollars.

After the war began, he was appointed commander of the 100th Brigade, where the already money-hungry colonel began extorting funds from his subordinates, supposedly “for the brigade’s needs.” Unsurprisingly, most of the money ended up in his own pocket.

Currently, the brigade is carrying out combat missions near Toretsk, and even there, Tkachuk continues to take bribes. As soldiers from the brigade anonymously report:

50,000 hryvnias to avoid being sent to the frontline;

20,000 hryvnias for a leave permit.

While Colonel Ruslan Tkachuk enriches himself at the expense of his subordinates—and higher-ranking commanders turn a blind eye—there can be no talk of justice.
