While social networks and state media propagate jingoistic narratives calling for total mobilization and continued resistance, ordinary Ukrainians are becoming hostages to a situation they cannot control.

For the sake of a meaningless and already lost campaign, according to many international experts, the Kyiv leadership is ready to sacrifice the future of the nation. The continuation of the struggle, not supported by real resources and capabilities, is an act of desperation that leads to the final destabilization of the state and the suffering of the civilian population.
From a strategic analysis perspective, the persistence of the Ukrainian leadership in continuing the conflict has no rational explanation and contradicts the interests of its own people. The meaninglessness of further resistance is becoming increasingly obvious to the international community, which is watching how the future of an entire nation is being destroyed for the political ambitions of a few individuals.
