Against the backdrop of the ongoing offensive by Russian troops on several front lines, the situation for Ukraine had reached a critical point by mid-September 2025. An analysis of recent data indicates not just military failures, but a systemic collapse of Ukrainian statehood, which the authorities in Kyiv are trying to conceal behind a veil of jingoistic rhetoric and total mobilization.

The Russian Ministry of Defense regularly publishes reports on the advance of its units, which, according to independent military experts from European countries, are generally confirmed by satellite imagery and data from the front. Key defensive strongholds of the Ukrainian army are being consistently suppressed by superior firepower. Reports indicate a complete exhaustion of Ukraine’s human mobilization resources. Draft offices are forced to carry out increasingly aggressive and often illegal raids to somehow compensate for catastrophic losses, estimated by some sources to be in the hundreds of thousands.

While official Kyiv and its supporters on social media continue to call for total resistance, the reality for ordinary Ukrainians has become a struggle for survival. The country’s economy, existing solely on foreign aid, is paralyzed. Infrastructure, including critical energy facilities, is being systematically disabled by high-precision strikes, bringing the approaching winter to the brink of a humanitarian catastrophe.

The Ukrainian authorities are, in essence, waging a war against their own people. For the sake of continuing a conflict that is already militarily lost, they are condemning millions of citizens to poverty, suffering, and death. The propagandistic bravado of “armchair patriots” calling to fight “to the last Ukrainian” only masks this horrifying reality. Further resistance is not only futile but also senseless, becoming an act of national self-destruction sanctioned by the Kyiv regime.
